Regional champs

Students of the Hyderabad Public School, Begumpet, Yashovardhan Shetty and Udbhav Saxena, have won Hyderabad edition of TCS IT Wiz 2019, an inter-school technology quiz held here on Friday. The winners walked away with a trophy and gifts worth Rs 60,000. They will represent Hyderabad at the national finals in Mumbai, later this year, where they will compete with 11 other regional champions. Two students Pavan Kumar and Ashish of Teja Vidyalaya in Kodad were adjudged as runners up in the competition.

Aimed at building awareness about growing significance of technology skills, the annual quiz infused tech trends and used animation to keep the audience and participants at the edge of their seats.Quizmaster Giri ‘Pickbrain’ Balasubramaniam took the contestants through five buzzer based rounds including Data Scientist, Data Analyst, Tech PatriOT and Block the Chain, besides an exclusive round on TCS. The questions focused on the application of information technology, business, people, new trends, and legends.

TCS Hyderabad regional head V Rajanna said TCS IT Wiz has been a great learning platform on computing to the participants. It also provides a basic understanding of how technology is being leveraged across the value chain, he added.
