Warangal Urban: Mera Bharat Mahan, a Telugu film, produced by the three doctors of Warangal is all set to hit the screens on Friday. The movie was produced by Dr Yerra Sridhar Raju, Dr Talla Ravi and Dr Pallavi Reddy.
Speaking to the media persons here at the press club on Thursday, Dr Talla Ravi said that the movie was based on the social issues concerning the society. “With a social responsibility, we produced the movie. We are giving a message to youth who are the changemakers of the society. The film discusses about the suicides of the farmers as well as the students.
On the other hand, it also deliberates upon the unethical practices in the corporate hospitals in the name of Aarogya Sri and others,” Dr Ravi added. The pre-release function was held five days ago in Hyderabad, and the movie is likely to be screened in about 150 theatres in Telangana and Andhra Pradesh.
“We have conducted many social awareness programmes on different issues. But we thought of reaching close to the people only by the cinema medium and produced the movie. There is also a love story in the movie,” Ravi said and appealed to the movie goers to make their first attempt a big success.
While Yerramshetty Sai is the dialogue writer of the movie, Lalith Suresh has given the music and lyrics by Peddada Murthy. Poet Potlapllay Srinivasa Rao, who also spoke at the press meet, has showered praises on the doctors for producing a commercial movie with a social message with high budget.
“I have watched the movie during the pre-release function. This message oriented movie also has commercial elements. I wish it would achieve a great success,” Srinivasa Rao added. Dr Sridhar Raju is also playing a major role in the movie.
The movie is directed by Bharath and will feature Akhil Karthik, Priyanka Sharma, Ravi Prakash, Tanikella Bharani, and Babu Mohan as lead characters.
