Hyderabad: The body of a 40-year-old unidentified man was found on the outskirts of Kothagudem village in Abdullapurmet here on Sunday. Police suspect he was stabbed to death by unidentified persons.
According to the Abdullapurmet police, it is suspected that on Saturday night the victim had a fight with the assailants who attacked him with sharp weapons. His body was found in a secluded place near Swathi Engineering College.
“He had been stabbed multiple times at various parts on his body by the killers. He is suspected to have died on the spot due to bleeding,” police said.
The locals noticed the body on Sunday morning and informed the police.
The Abdullapurmet police rushed to the spot. The CLUES team and Dog Squad too visited the crime scene and collected samples.
A murder case was booked and the body was shifted to the Osmania General Hospital morgue for an autopsy.
Officials said that as it is a secluded place, there are not many clues to trace the suspects. They are examining the CCTV footage collected from the routes leading to the crime spot to nab the killers.
