TRS tirade against Congress

Nalgonda: Minister G Jagdish Reddy on Saturday said voters should show discretion in making the right choice in the upcoming elections calling them crucial for the development of the State and called on people to defeat Congress, “a party that is full of anti-development forces.”

Speaking at a meeting of TRS leaders at Haliya in the district, Jagdish Reddy reminded that Nagarjuna Sagar Assembly constituency was denied of any development during whole tenure of the Congress leader K Jana Reddy. Referring to Jana Reddy’s statement that there were still issues to be resolved in his Assembly constituency, he asked Jana Reddy to introspect on the reasons for the issues remaining unsolved during his tenure.

Continuing his tirade on the senior Congress leader, Jagdish Reddy alleged that Jana Reddy has kept quite when injustice was meted out the ayacut farmers of Nagarjuna Sagar Project in united Andhra Pradesh during earlier Congress governments for berth in the Cabinet.

He reminded that it was the TRS government, which ensured irrigation to tail-end areas of NSLP left canal for the first time. The TRS government has ensured irrigation to farmers in NSP ayacut even despite NSP reaching dead storage level. This was proof of the TRS government’s commitment in ensuing irrigation to the farmers, he maintained.

Stating that decision of the party leadership on the candidates was final, he has made it clear that all the party leaders and members should work for victory of the party candidates, whose names were announced by the Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao.

‘Vicious alliance’

Terming Prajakutami a vicious political alliance, Telangana Rashtra Rythu Samanvaya Samithi president Gutha Sukender Reddy said that the people of the State were at crucial juncture of political situation and need to be alter. The people should teach a lesson to Mahakutami in the coming elections. There was an overwhelming response from the people for partial elections manifesto of the TRS, he added.

Coming down heavily on the Congress leaders, he felt that the Congress leaders were exhibited their anti-development attitude by saying Yadadri-Thermal Power Plan at Damaracharla would be dropped, if Congress voted to power in the ensuring elections.

TRS candidate of Nagarjuna Sagar Assembly Constituency Nomula Narsimhaiah and leaders of the TRS were also attended the meeting.
