Three injured as two groups clash in Hyderabad

Hyderabad: Three persons were injured when two groups clashed at Moghal’s Colony in Mailardevpally late on Wednesday night. Based on complaints from both groups, cases for attempt to murder were booked against them, the police said.

According to the Mailardevpally police, on Wednesday at around 11 pm, one Mohd Feroz (22), was attacked by Mohd Arshad, Mohd Mahmood, Baba Khan, Mohd Ashraf and 25 others with any provocation near his uncle Syed Osman Shah’s house at Moghal’s Colony.

Feroz’s father told the police that when Feroz’s friends Syed Mukthar Shah and Syed Adnan Shah intervened, the group attacked them with swords and hockey sticks as well, resulting in severe head injuries.

On the other hand, a counter complaint too was lodged against Feroz, Adnan, Mukthar and two others alleging that they bore a grudge against Mohd Mahmood for a complaint against them in the past.

Mahmood alleged that Feroz and his associates came to the colony on bikes making loud noises and when he questioned them, they began pelting stones at him and attacked him with iron rods. The Mailardevpally police are investigating.
