Time passes in the blink of an eye. Before the tiny palms and feet of your baby gets another centimetre bigger, cast the timeless impressions of your little one’s by reaching out to this young Hyderabadi, Anila, a memorabilia artist, who makes you every moment count.
Anila has been making cast impressions for babies and adults of all age groups for the past six years now.
For Anila, it all began in 2013 when her sister had a second baby and they were randomly having a conversation about how time was flying and those tiny hands and feet will be missed. “At that time, I chanced upon a video on creating memorabilia for babies. Only a few people were there into this field then. My sister encouraged me to take it up. Therefore, my first impression was of my sister’s second-born,” says Anila, who always dreamt of being an entrepreneur.
Soon after buying materials online, she started making cast impressions and the ultimate output was quite good. However, it wasn’t kid’s stuff for her to convince a new-gen parent that the materials they use are harmless for their babies.
“I had to be extra careful in case of babies. Firstly, I make sure the materials doesn’t create any sort of discomfort and then use it on them,” she says.
Anila’s list of clients also includes celebrities like Nani, Tamannaah Bhatia, Rakul Preet Singh, Sreeja Kalyan, Tamil actor Ganesh and many more. Currently, the artist is in talks with Sarah Ali Khan.
“Once I started making cast impressions for celebrities, people started trusting my work completely and questions regarding safety totally vanished. A lot of people especially parents started approaching us,” Anila says.
Six years down the line, Anila has made around 5,000 impressions and is also introducing a new range of products. She recently came up with jewellery made out of breast milk pulp and umbilical cord on her client’s request. Some even approach Anila for memorabilia from ashes after the funeral of their dear ones.
The young entrepreneur says she would like to experiment with more products that can help people create memories.
