‘Theri’ remake to go on floors in September


Ravi Teja’s recent films have tanked at the box office leaving a deep negative impact on the collections. This made him eye remakes as a story is already ready.

The actor is right now busy shooting for Sreenu Vaitla’s Amar Akbar Anthony which has Ileana D’Cruz as the leading lady. The news that Ravi Teja will be playing the lead in the official Telugu remake of Theri has been doing the rounds and during the promotion of his last film, the actor has confirmed it too.

The shooting, which has actually begun a while ago, has been halted now. It is also said that there are a few circumstances and the film will go on floors only after they are cleared.

Now, the latest reports say that the controversy is cleared and green signal to take the film on floors has been given by the makers of Theri (Tamil). So now, a strong foundation is being laid, in order to make sure that the film will surely keep up to the expectations of audience.

Ravi Teja is waiting to wrap up Amar Akbar Anthony so that he can join the remake film which is yet-to-be-titled. According to the reports, the film will be going on floors in September.

Director Santosh Srinivas has changed the script a little according to how Ravi Teja wanted it. Let’s wait and see whether these two upcoming films will bring back the craze of Mass Maharaja Ravi Teja.
