Telangana’s Niagara, the Bogatha waterfall offers feast to eyes

Mulugu: If you are planning to visit Bogatha waterfall, also known as Telangana’s Niagara, this is the right time to visit the tourist place as the stream has started receiving copious water from the upper catchment areas from Saturday.

Though the water flows throughout the year, the stream generally receives heavy inflows during the monsoon and offers a breathtaking view. Eco-tourism district coordinator Kalyanapu Suman said that they had taken several steps for the benefit of the tourists visiting the Bogatha waterfall. “The new amenities include zip line, zip cycle, Burma bridge, children play area, commando tower, net climbing, two safari vehicles, restaurant and five battery vehicle,” he added.

Last year, the fall started receiving heavy inflows since June 14 itself. Located about 160 km away from Warangal city and 300 km from Hyderabad on National Highway 163 (Hyderabad – Bhopalpatnam) near Koyaveerapuram village in Wazeedu mandal in Jayashankar Bhupalpally district, the Bogatha waterfall has been witnessing a steady rise in tourist footfall ever since a high-level bridge across Godavari river near Eturunagaram was thrown open three years ago.
