Hyderabad: On the occasion of Teacher’s Day on Saturday, Hyderabad Runners, the voluntary organisation involved in promoting running as a means to achieve physical fitness, is organising a Teacher’s Day special talk for general public, runners, parents and their children, to be delivered by Siddhartha Menon, a noted educationist, poet and a Boston Marathon qualifier.
According to Hyderabad Runners (HR), the talk will be valuable for parents, especially for those who have started encouraging children to run and ride longer distances, to imbibe the qualities of positivity and resilience.
During the ongoing Covid pandemic, HR has been organising a series of talks by experts titled ‘Beyond the Track’ and the topic of Siddhartha Menon’s talk will be “Once a Runner: Identify and Education”.
“In the competitive education, athletic and employment system today that seems determined to push children and adults into a world of performance and success, running can be a breath of fresh air where it’s all about having fun, being present in the moment, helping one another and still achieving results,” Hyderabad Runners said.
The talk will be live on Saturday from 5 pm at https://www.facebook.com/HyderabadRunners/live/.
