During a roadshow of Naidu in Krishnapuram, one of the TDP followers was hit by a stone after which Chandrababu Naidu went on strike to protest.
"We are definitely taking this election as a referendum. If we win in this election, you resign and if you win our 22 MPs will also resign," said Reddy on Sunday, throwing the challenge to opposition Telugu Desam Party (TDP).
"People are laughing at your dramas before the Tirupati bypoll. Behaving like your candidate will become the CM on getting deposits in the bypoll," mocked Reddy.
"With the blessings of Lord Venkateshwara and support of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the entire BJP-JSP family, I am going to file my nomination on Monday.," said Ratna Prabha, the BJP candidate.
"Take the development and welfare activities of the state government to the people and chalk out a strategy so that the results of the by-election should ensure that the nation looks towards Andhra Pradesh," said Reddy.

In the 90-member Greater Visakhapatnam Municipal Corporation, the biggest among the state corporations, YSRCP won 27 divisions out of 44 results declared till 2 p.m.
On the occasion, Government Advisor (Public Affairs) Sajjala Ramakrishna Reddy hoisted the party's flag at its central office at Tadepalli.
"YSRCP is misusing the police force to favour its own candidates," he said.
Speaking on the occasion of Ganta's close associate B Kasi Viswanath joining the YSRCP , Rajya Sabha MP said Ganta could be admitted once the party high command gave the clearance
"A clash erupted between workers of TDP and YSRCP in Mettavalasa village of Srikakulam allegedly over social media post related to recent local body polls," said Sub Inspector of Srikakulam Police, M Ahmad.
