Despite his close ties with Russian President Vladimir Putin, Exxon Mobil CEO Rex Tillerson emerged as the top candidate for the Secretary of State in President-elect Donald Trump's administration.
The property tycoon took the title after winning an unexpected victory over Democratic rival Hillary Clinton in November's presidential election.
"We have never believed and we should not believe that we must develop our economy in isolation from the global economy. The Russian economy has already become an integral part of the global one and it should develop this way," Putin said
