Council Chairman Gutha Sukhender Reddy and Assembly Speaker Pocharam Srinivas Reddy read out identical statements in both the Assembly and the Council.
Accordingly, the minimum pension of former legislators has been increased from Rs 30,000 to Rs 50,000 with an upper ceiling of Rs 75,000.
Moving the motion here on the second day of the Assembly session, Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao recalled the services of late Nomula Narasimhaiah to the people of Telangana.

"Ramalinga Reddy grew along with the separate Telangana movement as a leader. He was down to earth and always was a people's man. His death at a very young age is very unfortunate," said KCR.
Recalling the role played by the former President in the formation of the State, Chief Minister termed him as a towering personality in the Indian political arena, and said that the Pranab Mukherjee has played a key role.

"All the staff attending the assembly will be screened for Covid-19, and Assembly staff marshalls were directed to undergo tests two days ahead of the session," Minister for Legislative Affairs Vemula Prashanth Reddy said.

Governor Tamilisai Soundararajan summoned the Assembly and also the Council to meet at 11 am.
Legislative Affairs Minister Vemula Prashanth Reddy toured the Assembly buildings on Tuesday as per the directions of Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao in this regard.
The CM observed that the Assembly should be convened for at least two weeks and after consulting with the Ministers, decided to hold the monsoon session for 20 days to ensure a comprehensive discussion on important issues.
The Chief Minister said that Telangana, as the youngest State in the country, and one that was contributing significantly to nation-building, had the responsibility to speak on such issues.
