The study has revealed 51 per cent of cases under POCSO are being registered in Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra, Uttar Pradesh, Haryana and Delhi.
Chandrama Rajbhar, 24, was arrested on Sunday for repeatedly raping the 17-year-old girl for the past one year, Station House Officer, Sukhpura, Virendra Yadav said.
The assault came to light after the girl, staying with her mother, brother and grandparents, told about the abuse to one of her relatives 10 days ago, the police said.
The case came to light in September, 2018 when the victim, all of 11 years, was found to be pregnant upon being taken to a doctor by her parents.
