The explosives were found during combing operations by a police team comprising Bhadrachalam ASP, G Vineeth and CRPF DSP, Sudhir Mandal
The incident occurred between Dhaulai and Pallinar at Kadenar area in Narayanpur district when the jawans were returning to Mandoda after conducting combing operations in the forests
Sunil Padam, a Maoist militia commander, was killed when an IED that he was placing underground near Gaythapara village accidentally got activated.

The explosive was kept in a blue drum inside the car. A bomb disposal squad reached the spot on Thursday morning. People were asked to move away from the vicinity. The bomb disposal squad then instead of diffusing the explosive, exploded the vehicle.
