The corridor links Dera Baba Nanak shrine in Gurdaspur in India to Gurdwara Kartarpur Sahib in Pakistan, the final resting place of Sikh faith's founder Guru Nanak.
The request to rename the train was made by Union Food Processing Industries Minister Badal on the occasion of the 550th Parkash Purb celebrations.
Pakistan is scheduled to open the Kartarpur corridor for Indian Sikh pilgrims on November 9.
The 'yatra' commenced from Sri Gurudwara Nanak Jhira, Bidar in Karnataka and traversed through various parts of the country covering major cities.
It was the vision of Prime Minister Imran Khan, who had decided to open the border through the Kartarpur Corridor enabling Sikhs on the Indian side to visit Guru Nanak's shrine physically after 72 years.
According to the report, 90 per cent work on the Kartarpur Corridor, including the construction of the main road, bridge and buildings from zero line to Gurdwara Sahib has been completed by Pakistan.
