In a statement, the Chief Minister said as farmers, labourers and practitioners of traditional occupations, the working class has become partners in the development of the country and the State.
"This would also enable farmers to get a good price for their crop," he said, and instructed the millers to unload the paddy from lorries that had queued up at their mills.
The agriculture department has estimated that the paddy production would increase to 10 lakh tons in this yasangi crop season
"Already, instructions have been issued to all district Collectors in this regard," the Agriculture Minister said
"Gone are the days when farmers used to look at the sky from June onwards for a spell of rain to sow paddy seedlings." Harish Rao said
Some policemen and many agitators were injured in the melee. Police vehicles were damaged in the stone pelting by the mobs.

“Since cotton produced in the State is of high quality with high yield besides commanding a higher price as well, farmers should be ready to grow cotton in 75 to 80 lakh acre during the monsoon season,” the Chief Minister said.
The members of the Left parties also participated in the Bandh at Maddilapalem junction against the Centre over agriculture laws and privatisation of the Vizag steel plant.
The farmers have gathered at several highways and roads in the two states including in Bathinda, Ludhiana, Amritsar, Patiala, Mohali, Rohtak, Jhajjar and Bhiwani districts.
At present, oil palm crop is being cultivated in about 48,806 acres in the State
Agriculture Minister S Niranjan Reddy said a farm cluster-wise inventory is being prepared to identify the needs of farmers for every 5,000 acres.
Earlier on Sunday, Tikait had suggested that farmers in Karnataka should organise a protest in the state similar to that of Delhi.
"Promises made to the farming community and for the development of the agriculture sector have been fulfilled," the Minister said.
He stated that observing the important role of agriculture and farmer in our lives, Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao implemented innovative schemes for the sector which in turn was yielding results.
The BKU leader said farmers need to protest against the Central government's decision of privatising PSUs.
The State government is all set to give an impetus to the Agriculture sector with emphasis on modern cultivation methods, farm mechanisation and market-driven production.
