SRH removed struggling Australian batsman Warner from the captaincy on Saturday as the side has lost five of the six matches under him this IPL season.
SunRisers Hyderabad would like to announce that Kane Williamson will be taking over the captaincy for tomorrow's match and for the remainder of IPL 2021.
According to a report in 9News early Tuesday morning, "Australian cricketers including David Warner and Steve Smith are now hoping to be flown home to India before borders shut."
SRH, who sent in captain David Warner and Kane Williamson, managed to take just seven runs in their Super Over which was bowled by Axar Patel
Mumbai Indians head coach Mahela Jayawardene hoped that Hardik will be able to return to bowling in the next few weeks
Chasing 151 for victory, Sunrisers were all out for 137 runs in 19.4 overs to succumb to the loss to remain without any points in the table
Warner-led side had won five out of their last six games to qualify for the playoffs in the 13th edition of the tournament and the team will be looking to carry forward the momentum in this year's IPL.
The Hyderabad-based side's skipper will be in quarantine for the next seven days in his hotel room as per BCCI's SOPs for IPL 2021.
The 34-year-old had sustained the injury during the second ODI against India in November and was subsequently ruled out of the third game in Canberra
This is the third time he is winning the prestigious medal. He was pipped by David Warner by one vote last year.
"I know we lost the series but we have one very happy girl here!! Thanks @virat.kohli for your playing jersey, Indi absolutely loves it. Besides daddy and @aaronfinch5 she loves VK #fan #love #cricket," said Warner
Warner has been handpicking cherished films and replacing the face of the actors with his own, and this time it is Bollywood superstar Ayushmann Khurrana's song 'Dard Karara' from his 2015 movie 'Dum Laga Ke Haisha'.
Following that incident, Cricket Australia had launched an investigation and the International Cricket Council (ICC) had also asked the Australian cricket board to submit its report.
Both add 123 runs for the seventh wicket to reduce the deficit on the third day
The ongoing test match in Sydney between India and Australia saw one such incident when Indian players Jasprit Bumrah and Mohammed Siraj were abused by some of the Australian supporters.
"We could see the indications that David Warner is not fully fit. When he was trying to take a quick single, his facial expressions were telling that he is still in pain. But he showed intent, tried to rotate the strike,” said Zaheer Khan.
