Hyderabad: Taking on the unnecessary and unreported spending of officials, Civil Supplies Commissioner CV Anand on Tuesday directed the department officials to compulsorily enter daily financial transactions in the Financial Management System (FMS) online server.
This allows all officials to view the transactions of the department and promote transparency apart from organising all expenditure data in one place, he said.
The FMS software was introduced by Anand after he took charge of the department in 2016, but some officials were found avoiding its use. Anand on Tuesday warned the staff that he would not hesitate to suspend officials found spending department funds without uploading details online. No funds should be spent without prior permission of the head office and money should be taken from the department coffers only when required, not much in advance, Anand told the officials.
During the review meeting, officials also discussed the finances, auditing and rabi action plan.
