Siddipet: Irkode Gram Panchayat gets ISO 9001-2015 certificate

Siddipet: In a first of it’s kind achievement in Telangana, Irkode Gram Panchayat, a village in Siddipet district, has got ISO 9001-2015 certificate for efficient administration.

ARS Assessment Private Limited has certified the village stating that the standards of functioning of Gram Panchayat is in accordance with the ISO 9001-2015 (Quality Management System).

The representatives examined the administrative, social and economic functions like public service delivery, building permissions, layout permissions, property mutations, maintenance and construction of water resources, roads, drainage, waste management, plantation, street lights, school buildings, levy and collection of local taxes and executing government schemes related to employment and others during a visit.

The certificate will be valid for three years but the ARS representatives will make surveillance visits once in the year 2022 and 2023. Appreciating the efforts of elected representatives and villagers for getting the rare recognition, Finance Minister T Harish Rao said it was only possible with the combined efforts of the people and elected representatives. He called upon other villagers to draw inspiration from Irkode to make their villages a model in development and hygiene.
