Hyderabad: Congress MP A Revanth Reddy on Tuesday appeared before the special court for ACB cases here in connection with cash-for-vote scam that came to light in 2015. The court posted the matter to March 17.
Reddy, who was then TDP MLA, was arrested by the ACB officials on May 31, 2015, for allegedly trying to give bribe of Rs 50 lakh to a nominated MLA to vote to his party’s nominee during the Telangana Legislative Council polls. He was later released on bail.
In 2018, Reddy appeared before the investigation wing of the Income Tax (I-T) department at Aayakar Bhavan in Basheerbagh in response to a notice issued by the department. Apart from Reddy, his brother Kondal Reddy and aide Udaysimha also appeared before the IT department.
