Looks like Rana Daggubati is on a periodic film signing spree. Even the actor cannot be blamed for this as the projects are so interesting that he cannot take a risk by saying ‘no’. That’s the image he earned after ‘Rudramadevi’ and ‘Baahubali’.

Rana has announced on his official Twitter account that he would be playing 18th century Travancore king Marthanda Varma. It will be another king’s role for him after the epic ‘Bhallala Deva’.

The film’s pre-production works are in progress. It will be made as a Telugu-Malayalam bilingual, and will be dubbed in Tamil too.

Rana Daggubati wrote in the post, “Anizham thirunal Marthanda Varma- the king of Travancore” is the character I tell a story as soon. PreProduction in progress. The film will be directed by K.Madhu written by Robin Thirumala and Seven arts Mohan is the line producer on the film!!(sic).”

The actor is already busy shooting for 1945, a pre-Independent war historical drama, where he plays one of the soldiers in Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose’s Indian National Army.
