Nalgonda: Minister for Power and SC Development G Jagdish Reddy on Saturday said that Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao was striving to turn people’s dreams into reality as fruits of welfare schemes and development programmes had started reaching them.
He was speaking to newsmen after inspecting double-bedroom houses being constructed here along with district Collector Gaurav Uppal. The Minister said that dreams of the poor people having own house, land and education to their students was turning into reality due to the schemes being implemented by the State government.
“The Chief Minister has designed the scheme to change the living condition of poor people in the State. People are leading happy life in the State due to the welfare schemes taken up by the State government,” he maintained.
It was only the TRS government in the country which was implementing schemes other than those in pre-poll promises. “The TRS had not promised Kalyana Lakshmi, pension to filariasis patients and single woman, and KCR Kits in its elections manifesto,” the Minister pointed out.
He said that though construction of double-bedroom houses was taken up late at Nalgonda, the works were on fast track. The inauguration of double-bedroom house in the district would begin soon, he added. He reminded that 1,400 double-bedroom houses were sanctioned to Nalgonda Assembly constituency and works were under progress.
He said that the Chief Minister had vowed to sanction more 2BHK houses when it was brought to his notice that there were several homeless poor and minorities in Nalgonda.
Later, the Minister said available open land on the premises of District Government Hospital would be used for construction of building for proposed medical college. Foundation stone would be laid to the medical college building soon, he added.
The land for construction of hostels to the students of the colleges needed to be identified, he added.
Telangana State Forest Development Corporation Chairman Banda Narender Reddy, TRS Nalgonda Assembly constituency in-charge Kancharla Bhupal Reddy and Nalgonda Revenue Divisional Officer E Venkata Chary accompanied the Minister.
