Paying rooms at NIMS to be inaugurated on Thursday

Hyderabad: As many as 45 paying rooms with top-notch amenities for patients at Nizam’s Institute of Medical Sciences (NIMS) will be inaugurated by Health Minister, Dr. C Laxma Reddy on Thursday. The management of NIMS will offer round the clock medical services to patients who are admitted to the paying rooms.

In all, NIMS is constructing 90 paying rooms spread over three floors out of which 45 rooms are ready for occupation while the rest of the rooms are expected to be thrown open for patients in another six months. The rooms are coming up at fourth, fifth and sixth floors in the new NIMS trauma building block.

The paying rooms will be provided round the clock hot water from solar water heaters, LED lighting, television, air-conditioning, two-function beds, separate bed for patient attenders, bed side lockers, chairs and other furniture that is required for patients and attender comfort.

The patients, relatives and attenders will also have access to an exclusive canteen that will take care of food requirements. Director of NIMS, Dr. K. Manohar said that efforts are on to complete the civil works related to completion of remaining 45 paying rooms in six months.
