NTPC sets up drinking water storage tanks

Peddapalli: National Thermal Power Corporation, under its corporate social responsibility (community development), installed drinking water storage tanks to address water woes of people.

A total of 25 drinking water storage tanks (2,000 litres capacity each) are installed in 25 locations in six divisions of Ramagundam Municipal Corporation.

Local MLA Korukanti Chander inaugurated tanks in a programme held at P K Ramaiah Colony on Saturday. Speaking on the occasion, he appreciated NTPC for its good gesture which would help the nearby people to get pure drinking water.

Supported under NTPC-CSR with financial implication of approximately Rs. 12 lakhs, these facilities installed in 2, 3, 5, 20, 23 and 39th divisions with provision of filling the water through tankers.

RMC Mayor Dr Anil Kumar, Head of HR, AK Jadli, AGM-HR SVD Ravi Kumar and others participated in the programme.
