Notorious burglar nabbed in Hyderabad


Hyderabad: The Nallakunta police nabbed a notorious house burglar involved in 20 cases and recovered Rs 4.5 lakh in cash and 25 tolas of gold ornaments, all worth Rs 11 lakh here on Thursday.

P Anand Kumar alias Nandu (43), from Gangabowli in Bagh Amberpet, had recently burgled a house and decamped with valuables.

“During investigation, clues were collected and he was nabbed within a day,” said City Police Commissioner Anjani Kumar.

Nandu was involved in 20 cases between 2001 to 2015 in Hyderabad, Cyberabad, Rachakonda and Nalgonda police commissionerate areas. He was earlier convicted in similar offence, the Commissioner said.

Cases were booked against him at Mahankali, Nallakunta, Chikkadpally, SR Nagar, Saroornagar, Chaitanyapuri, and Kodad police stations, with the trial on in some of these cases.
