Nizamabad: Nizamabad Government General Hospital (GGH) will introduce super specialty services with the help of Public Private Partnership (PPP) and will increase the bed strength from 500 to 750.
Patients can now avail Cardiology, Neurology, Urology and Gastroenterology related services, in the hospital itself.
Earlier, patients were referred to Hyderabad for super specialty services and at times patients died as they could not get timely super specialty services.
Keeping these reasons in mind, hospital development committee decided to introduce super specialty services with the help of PPP and invited specialists to provide services to patients.
Hospital Superintendent K Ramulu said Nizamabad GGH had signed a MoU with specialty doctors having good track record; and labs would be installed on hospital premises.
He said hospital was paying Rs 75 to each patient from Hospital Development Society Fund (HDSF) and would pay to super specialist doctors from Aarogya Sri Scheme, whenever they performed surgery in GGH.
Dr Ramulu said they were discussing with super specialty doctors such as Dr Kondal Rao (Cardiology), Dr K Narsimha (Neurology), Dr K Eashwar (Urology), and Dr Bapu Reddy (Gastroenterology).
