Nalgonda: The district police have decided to setup CC Cameras at all black spots, which were accident-prone areas on the roads of the district.
With this, CC cameras would be installed at total 43 black spots identified on different roads in the district. Speaking at a meeting held with the officials of police department, cable TV operators and distributors of CC Cameras in the meeting hall in the police headquarters, the Superintendent of Police A V Ranganath said that the CC cameras, which would be set up at the black spots, would be connected to the local police stations.
He also underlined the need to make the elected representatives and people in setting up of CC cameras, which would play crucial role cracking the cases. He said that the police can use one core in optical fiber cables of internet service providers and also cables to master cable operators to connect the CC Cameras, which was installed at different places, to the police station in the area. The local police officer should take responsibility of checking and ensure all CC cameras installed in his police station limits must in functioning condition.
At same time, awareness would be created in the public on setting up of CC cameras at their houses and business establishments on their own. He sought the cooperation of internet service providers by dedicating 20MBPS speed core for the police department to connect CC cameras to the police stations. Footages of CC cameras would help the police cracking the cases of crimes, thefts and road accidents at the earliest, he observed.
DSP (Special Branch) Gujja Ramesh, Mirylaguda DSP Srinivas, Devarakonda DSP Maheshwar and Inspectors of Police also attended the meeting.
