Nalgonda: Following complaints from the people, Nalgonda Police has decided to focus on private auto financiers, who were forcibly collecting extra money from the customers. The Superintendent of Police A V Ranganath informed that he has received several complaints from the people saying that private auto-financiers were collecting extra interest and charges in violation of the rules.
It was also noticed that some financiers were also harassing the customers in the name of recovery of the vehicle loans. Inquiry would be conducted into the complaint of a person that some auto financiers were charging 10 per cent interest rate in the name of hand loans. He has also informed that it had come to his notice that some financiers were engaging rowdies to collect equated monthly installments from the customers and forcibly taking way the vehicles in case of delay in payment of EMIs. A special drive would be taken up across the district to tackle such cases, he added.
