Nalgonda police donate blood marking Police Martyrs Commemoration Week

Police Martyrs Commemoration Week

Nalgonda: More than 50 police personnel including Superintendent of Police DV Srinivasa Rao donated blood in the blood donation camp, which was conducted in Police Parade Grounds at Nalgonda in connection with Police Martyrs Commemoration Week.

DV Srinivasa Rao inaugurated the blood donation camp and also went first, among the police persons, to donate blood. Taking inspiration from him, several CIs, SIs and constables also donated their blood at the camp.

Speaking on the occasion, the Superintendent of Police says that the Police Department was conducting several programmes including painting competitions for children, open house programme, blood donation camps and rallies across the district in commemoration of police martyrs.  He pointed out that 39 police personnel sacrificed their lives for the protection of law and order in the last 30 years in erstwhile Nalgonda district. In addition to them, 50 civilians were also killed in the hands of the anti-social elements. “We are conducting Police Martyrs Commemoration Week to remember their sacrifices,” he adds.  Nalgonda Deputy Superintendent of Police S Sudhakar also attended the programme.
