Mancherial: Nadipelli Charitable Trust, a Mancherial based voluntary organization distributed essentials to 1,015 persons who were affected by the lockdown in different parts of Mancherial Assembly constituency on Saturday. Mancherial MLA N Diwakar Rao and Mancherial Municipal chairperson Penta Rajaiah were present in the distribution of groceries held here. They were joined by former MLA G Aravind Reddy.
The trust’s chairman N Vijith Kumar said that the voluntary organization gave essentials to 365 financially weak persons including 260 barbers in Mancherial town, 200 daily earners in Dandepalli, 225 lockdown-hit persons of Luxettipet, 175 poor in Naspur mandal and 50 from Hajipur mandal. The trust has done its bit for bringing respite to the lockdown-affected, he added.
Diwakar Rao was all praise for the trust for coming forward to distribute the groceries. He said that many sectors were hit by the lockdown. He sought philanthropists to come the rescue of the daily wagers and employees of small and medium scale industries by generously donating funds. He added that the government was leaving no stone unturned for extending all support to those who were affected by the lockdown.
