Nalgonda: A man committed suicide by hanging at a lodge in Nalgonda on Wednesday. The victim, identified as Krishna Reddy (36), a native of Ganipally Bheemanapally village in Pedda Adisharlapally mandal in Nalgonda district, was a driver and was addicted to liquor.
He took the extreme step at Annapurna lodge, which was located near a bus stand in Nalgonda. Family disputes are said to be the reason behind the suicide.
He boarded a room at the lodge on May 19 and committed suicide in the wee hours of Wednesday. As the doors of his rooms were not opened by 10 am, the staff at the lodge grew suspicious and informed the matter to the police.
On receiving the information from the lodge management, Nalgonda Town-II police rushed to the spot and shifted the body to the district government hospital for postmortem.
Nalgonda Town-II Sub-Inspector Ramalinga Durga Reddy said that a case was registered and investigation is on.
