Man arrested for killing wife in Hyderabad

Hyderabad: An auto-rickshaw driver, who was involved in his wife’s murder reported at Uppal on Tuesday, was arrested by the police.

According to the police, Moosali Srinivas, 50, a resident of Ramanthapur in Uppal got married to Naga Susheela, around 20 years ago. Due to differences between them for the last few years, the two were staying separately. Susheela lived separately along with their children while Srinivas stayed elsewhere.

On Tuesday afternoon, when the children had gone to their college, Srinivas came to the house of Susheela at Ramanthapur on the pretext of resolving a property dispute. “An argument erupted between the two over the issue during which Srinivas took a wooden pestle and hit Susheela on her head. The woman died on the spot due to severe head injury,” said P Venkateshwarlu, Station House Officer (Uppal).

The man was arrested on Wednesday and produced before the court. He was remanded.
