Madhapur police help thalassemia patient reach hospital


Hyderabad: Madhapur police came to the aid of an eight-year-old boy suffering from thalassemia and shifted him to the hospital here on Tuesday. The child, Lucky from Ayyappa Society and a native of Maharashtra given his health condition needed blood transfusion once in a fortnight.

However, due to the lockdown, his parents could not shift him to the hospital for treatment. Lucky’s parents informed the Madhapur Police about the situation and sought their help in getting treatment.

Immediately, Sub-inspector Harika along with her team reached out to the boy’s family and shifted him to the hospital in an ambulance for blood transfusion.
