Founded in 1890 as Washington’s original land-grant university, Washington State University is a public institution with programmes in a broad range of academic disciplines. The university also operates campuses across Washington WSU Spokane, WSU Tri-Cities and WSU Vancouver all founded in 1989.

In 2012, WSU launched an Internet-based Global Campus, which includes its online degree programme, WSU Online. In 2015, it expanded to a sixth campus, known as WSU Everett. These campuses award primarily bachelor’s and master’s degrees.  Enrolment for the four campuses and WSU Online exceeds 29,686 students.

Washington State University offers highly ranked academic programmes that are designed to prepare a student for a future career. WSU offers more than 200 fields of study, including 95 majors, 86 minors, options, and over 140 graduate and professional degrees.

The university is committed to research, and there are opportunities for students to get involved in projects as undergraduates. Washington State also offers a wide variety of graduate school options, including degree programmes through the College of Business, College of Engineering and College of Education.

Washington State University offers a number of student services, including non-remedial tutoring, women’s centre, placement service, daycare, health service, health insurance. With more than 1,900 international students, seven per cent of the student body is comprised of students from around world. No matter where a student comes from, he/she will be welcomed into the WSU community.

The Academic Success and Career Center (ASCC) offers career counselling — offers career assessments to explore interests, values, skills, and personality. Career Courses for Credit — The ASCC offers academic courses in College Major and Career Planning, Internship and Peer Leadership.

For more than 125 years, WSU helped students prepare for their careers by offering highly-ranked academic programmes taught by world-renowned professors in a supportive environment.
