Visakhapatnam: With the general elections fast approaching, the arch rivals of the ruling Telugu Desam Party and the main opposition YSR Congress have begun the exercise of selecting candidates to contest the elections.
According to sources, the TDP has selected probable candidates for most of the seats except for a few like Nellore, Tirupati and Chittoor.
The list of likely TDP candidates for various constituencies stands as: K Rammohan Naidu from Srikakulam; P Ashok Gajapathi Raju from Vizianagaram; Harish from Amalapuram; Kesineni Nani from Vijayawada; Adinarayana Reddy from Kadapa; Galla Jayadev from Guntur; SPY Reddy family member from Nandyala; Sriram Malyadri from Bapatla; Rayapati Sambasivarao from Narasaraopeta; Bharat from Visakhapatnam; Sunil from Kakinada; Bhaskara Ramarao from Rajahmundry; Sabbam Hari from Anakapalle, V Kishore Chandra Deo from Araku; Kotla Suryaprakash Reddy from Kurnool; J C Pavan Reddy from Anantapuram; Saipratap from Rajampeta; Nanduri Sambasivarao from Ongole; Konakalla Narayana from Machilipatnam; Nimmala Kishtappa from Hindupur; and Bolla Rajeev from Eluru.
Meanwhile, the YSRCP has also announced the party observers most of whom are former Ministers, MLAs and MLCs, for the Parliament seats for working for the success of the party till the elections are over, which means that they would not be fielded in the elections.
