Kuruma community seeks sheep on subsidy

Jogulamba Gadwal: People’s representatives from Kuruma community met Animal Husbandry Minister Talasani Srinivas Yadav at former MP Manda Jagannadham’s residence along with TRS State secretary Bandla Krishna Mohan Reddy and gave a representation to the Minister on Sunday, requesting him to distribute sheep on subsidy to members of Kuruma community in Gadwal district.

Responding to their wish, Yadav said people from Kuruma community in Gadwal and Allampur Constituencies were asked to make use of the scheme, but some people’s representatives stayed away from verifying the caste and were not able to make use of the scheme. However, he said that he would consider their request.

He told representatives that Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao’s vision was to develop people from both Golla and Kuruma communities, which were under the umbrella of Yadava community, so that the people from these communities could develop economically.
