Warangal Urban: Kakatiya Institute of Technology & Science, Warangal (KITSW) is organising a one-day workshop on ‘Ethical Hacking’ in association with Computer Society of India (CSI) Student Chapter on Friday, in-charge principal Prof KV Raghubabu said.
Organised by KITSW’s Department of Computer Science and Engineering (CSE), Control Software Pvt. Ltd, Hyderabad, CEO K Linkith Reddy and S Srujan along with their teams trained students on latest techniques of cloning of web pages (phishing technique), foot printing, trojan and virus attacks, cracking passwords, website hacking, mobile hacking and Facebook tab mapping. They also explained how to hack IoT devices and their solutions.
With more and more girls’ Facebook accounts being hacked, trainers trained the students to stay safe from the hackers. A third year CSE student, R Keerthi Reddy, said the workshop was beneficial. “It helped me secure my accounts from hackers. It was also affordable as the session was organised under the banner of CSI (student chapter). I hacked my friend’s Facebook account and learnt how to secure our own account. I gained sound knowledge through this workshop,” she said.
Nearly 340 students attended the workshop.
