Hyderabad: Netizens are going gaga over a new challenge these days – the ‘Kiki Challenge’!
The latest challenge that netizens are taking up is not only breaking the internet, but also quite a few bones. For this new challenge, people get off their slow moving cars and dance to the lines “Kiki, do you love me? Are you riding? Say you’ll never ever leave from beside me ‘cause I want you and I need you, and I’m down for you always,” from Canadian rapper Drake’s song ‘In My Feelings’.
The trend picked up when internet comedian Shiggy posted a video of himself dancing to the song. It went viral after Shiggy’s friend Odell Beckham Jr. aped his act by getting off a stationary car.
Netizens, always on the lookout for more spice in life, went a step ahead and started doing the dance by getting out of moving cars.
The challenge has now reached India and has several grooving to it. Among those taking up the dangerous challenge are movie stars like Adah Sharma and Regina Cassandra, despite a tweet from Mumbai police requesting people not to take it up putting themselves and others at risk.
Just when we thought that we got rid of the much dangerous ‘Blue Whale Challenge’, comes another silly challenge which people take up openly ignoring the risk of crashing into something or being hit by moving vehicles.
Meanwhile, some in India took inspiration from the challenge, went a step further and posted videos of themselves getting off their moving cars from the driving seats.
While police in Delhi and Mumbai have already advised youth against taking up such challenges, it is only a matter of time before youth in other cities catch up.
