Veteran actor James Cromwell was arrested during a protest at Texas A&M University. The 79-year-old actor and another man were charged with disorderly conduct after police said they disrupted a meeting of the Texas A&M University System Board of Regents. According to sources, Cromwell was a part of a demonstration on Thursday by PETA, to protest A&M’s use of dogs for medical research. The actor, who is an animal welfare activist, was released after posting a bond of $5,000. “Texas A&M continues to torment golden retrievers and other dogs, even though decades of these experiments have not led to a cure for humans with muscular dystrophy. It’s time to let the dogs out, and my friends at PETA and I want them released to good homes where they can live out the rest of their lives in peace,” said Cromwell.
Anna Faris to star in, produce comedy ‘Summer Madness’
Actor Anna Faris is set to play twin sisters in comedy feature “Summer Madness”, to be directed by James Mottern. Faris is also producing the project alongside cinematographer Michael Barret, Emilio Mauro and Mottern.The film focuses on “flat-broke and foul-mouthed” Georgie Cole (Faris) and her successful, elegant twin sister. “Disowned by her wealthy and conniving mother, Georgie must rally her dysfunctional family to appear picture-perfect in order to win a large cash prize at her mother’s annual gala,” the film’s plotline reads. The film is currently under preproduction with other cast members to be announced soon.

Veteran star Arnold Schwarzenegger says he is glad that his daughter, author Katherine Schwarzenegger married a “great guy and kind man” like actor Chris Pratt. Pratt, 40, and Schwarzenegger, 29, tied the knot in June after dating for a year. “I’m really happy that he is such a great guy. Not only a very talented guy and a great actor and a great star and all this stuff, but a really kind man and kind to my daughter, which is the most important thing for me,” Schwarzenegger told Jimmy Kimmel on his late night show. Casey Affleck to star in thriller Every Breath You Take
Actor Casey Affleck will star in the independent thriller “Every Breath You Take” alongside Sam Claflin, Michelle Monaghan and Veronica Ferres. “Sunshine Cleaning” director Christine Jeffs is helming the film about a psychiatrist, portrayed by Affleck, whose career is thrown into jeopardy when his patient takes her own life. When he invites his patient’s surviving brother (Claflin) into his home to meet his wife (Monaghan) and daughter, his family life is suddenly torn apart. “I’m extremely pleased that the gifted Christine Jeffs and our world-class cast have come together to bring this amazing thriller to life, as it touches on themes of family, betrayal and redemption that are universal and resonate for all of us,” said the producer Richard Lewis.
