Hyderabad: Almost two weeks after curtains came down on the highly successful Global Entrepreneurship Summit here, Ivanka Trump, Advisor to the US President, has tweeted, stating that it was an honour to participate in the event in Hyderabad.

Ivanka Trump, who had led a massive delegation of entrepreneurs and US State officials to the GES, tweeted late last night:

“It was an honor to participate in @GES2017 in Hyderabad, India with 1,200 brilliant and passionate entrepreneurs from around the world, including our delegation of 350 Americans! Thank you, Prime Minister Modi and the people of India for the warm hospitality. धन्यवाद!”

The tweet, which has been shared by nearly 1,500 Twitter users from India and abroad and liked by over 6,000 people, has also elicited a good response, with nearly 900 persons replying to the tweet. While most have appreciated her statement, her and her father Donald Trump’s political opponents have also responded, some with nasty comments as well.

Ivanka, who interestingly did not use any Hindi words while addressing the GES here, has ended the tweet with a ‘Dhanyavad’ (Thank you), that too in Hindi font.

She has also attached a video to the tweet, on the GES, which has been shared widely now, and has several glimpses of the city of Hyderabad, apart from shots from the inaugural function with Prime Minister Narendra Modi, glimpses of the plenary session that had Ivanka sharing the dais with Telangana IT and Industries Minister KT Rama Rao, Cherie Blaire and others, apart from her own speech at the inaugural ceremony.
