Visakhapatnam: International Day of Yoga 2017 was celebrated with enthusiasm by all naval personnel and families of Eastern Naval Command (ENC) at Visakhapatnam on Wednesday with over 5,000 naval personnel along with their families taking part in Yoga sessions, held at the Naval Dockyard here.
Vice Admiral HCS Bisht, Flag Officer Commanding-in-Chief Eastern Naval Command joined the personnel of the Command at Yoga Session held at Naval Dockyard. Personnel onboard ENC ships deployed at sea also took part in yoga on Wednesday morning to mark the International Day of Yoga, according to a spokesman of the ENC here.
During the Yoga session, Naval personnel were introduced to various Asanas, Pranayams, conditioning practices and breathing exercises. The participants benefitted from the discourses on the virtues of Yoga, its integration into daily life to suit modern sociological needs and lifestyles for sustained good health and stress-free life. The event was conducted by following the protocol promulgated by Ministry of Ayush, Government of India.
