Hyderabad: The Commissioner’s Task Force which is assisting the Mahankali police in cracking the Rs 30 lakh robbery case reported two days ago has identified the offenders. Investigation by the police so far revealed that the offenders, aged between 20 and 30 years, are from other States. The robbery was planned a few weeks ago at the behest of an insider who works at one of the shops between whom the transaction of Rs 30 lakh took place.
“The investigation is progressing in the right direction and we have identified a few suspects in the case. They are from other States and an insider has helped them in planning and executing the robbery,” a senior police official said.
The police had questioned Roop Ram, a staff of the jewellery shop who was carrying Rs 30 lakh on Tuesday night. The offenders had sprayed pepper in his eyes before snatching the cash bag from him and escaping.
Four teams of the city police were making efforts to nab the offenders.
