Hyderabad’s Sridhar retained as fielding coach of Indian cricket team

Hyderabad: City’s R Sridhar has been retained as the fielding coach of the Indian cricket team. This was announced by Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) at a press conference in Mumbai on Tuesday. 

The three-member committee formed by the Committee of Administrators (CoA) also decided to retain the services of Sanjay Bangar and elevated him to the position of assistant coach.

As expected, Bharat Arun is back as bowling coach of the Indian team. Chief coach Ravi Shastri, who returned to Mumbai after a holiday trip to Mumbai, met the BCCI officials  and CoA chief Vinod Rai and Dian Edulji.

The contracts for all these appointments begin from Tuesday and are effective until the end of the 2019 World Cup.
