Hyderabad: In yet another attempt to provide safety and security to women in Telangana and to make Hyderabad a safer city, SHE Teams Hyderabad on Wednesday launched their own website.

While the SHE Teams social media accounts and mobile phone messenger apps allowed people to report crimes, the website is designed to share their stories and offer suggestions and solutions to prevent crimes against women as well.

The website, www.sheteams4me.com, was launched by City Police Commissioner M. Mahender Reddy at Ravindra Bharati on the occasion of International Day of the Girl Child, 2017 in the presence of school children from the city here on Wednesday.

The website provides information regarding domestic violence, workplace harassment, street crimes and various other crimes against women and also seeks suggestions from individuals of ways in which these can be prevented.

“SHE Teams have been working to make the city safe for women while assuring that girls get rid of the fear of speaking up by keeping their identity confidential. A transformed society is one where women are safe and independent and this is another attempt to reach there,” Mahender Reddy said.

Swati Lakra, Additional Commissioner of Police (Crimes) said the website was one of the best gift girls could ask for on International Girl Child Day.
