Hyderabad: Metro passengers spent some anxious moments at Ameerpet as the trains on Ameerpet – Mettuguda were suspended for sometime on Sunday due to technical glitches in a train.
Metro authorities said the train at Ameerpet had developed few snags as a result trains heading to Mettuguda had to be suspended. The train was pulled to Prakash Nagar station, which is equipped with pocket track and parked there to facilitate train operations on the Mettuguda stretch.
“All the tracks have been thoroughly checked as a precautionary measure. Trains have resumed service after being suspended temporarily for a while,” said HMRL Managing Director NVS Reddy.
He also dismissed the rumours of a boy jumping from the metro station and clarified that no such incident occurred, he said.
