Hyderabad: The valedictory of 97th Advance Navigation Course (ANC) and 129th Ab-Initio Navigation Course was held at the Navigation Training School (NTS), Air Force Station, Begumpet.
Air Commodore KV Surendran Nair, Air Officer Commanding, Air Force Station-Hakimpet, was the chief guest for the valedictory which was attended by Air Commodore MB Aserkar, Air Officer Commanding, Air Force Station-Begumpet.
One of the prestigious training institutions of the Indian Air Force, the NTS has been transforming flight cadets into astute navigators and imparting advanced navigation skills and instructional techniques to select navigators of the Air Force, Navy and Coast Guard for seven decades, a press release said.
Group Captain Deepak Kumar Sahani, Commanding Officer of Navigation Training School and Chief Navigation Instructor, and AK Yadav, Wing Commander, were also present at the valedictory.
The graduating course of 97th ANC comprised six officers, including two from Indian Navy and one from Indian Coast Guard. These officers would be stepping out as instructors and take up instructional assignments in their respective services.
Meritorious Flight Cadets of the 129th Ab-Initio Navigation Course were also awarded trophies, medals and certificates during the same function. The flight cadets, who have completed their training at NTS, would be commissioned as Officers of Indian Air Force during the Combined Graduation Parade to be held at Air Force Academy, Dundigal, on December 21, the release added.
