Peddapalli: Bhoomi puja for construction of Central Monitoring and Control Station (CMCS) building was performed at floating solar power project, National Thermal Power Corporation. Executive Director, NTPC (Ramagundam & Telangana), Raj Kumar laid foundation on Saturday. With this, the construction activities of the solar power project started.
NTPC is setting up India’s largest floating solar power project of 100 MW capacity at its balancing reservoir covering 450 acres of water surface. About Rs 423.8 crore worth project was awarded to BHEL on June 10, 219.
After performing bhoomi puja, Raj Kumar also reviewed the progress of the floating solar project at the site and asked the concerned officials to work in tandem to get the work done in time.
Executive Director-PP and M (designated), Prem Praksh, GM (Medical) Dr. Sasmita Dash, GM (TS) PK Laad, GM (Maintenance) Soumendra Das, GM (Operation) BC Polai and other senior officials from NTPC and BHEL were present.
