Jogulamba Gadwal: Three reporters and two camera persons from Mahabubnagar and Jogulamba Gadwal districts were put on quarantine on Tuesday, after they have interviewed Gadwal MLA B Krishna Mohan Reddy, who himself has been on self-quarantine at his residence for the past couple of days.
Last week, the first death in Jogulamba Gadwal district was reported, when a former municipal councillor had died due to Covid-19.
MLA B Krishna Mohan Reddy, who had visited the deceased’s residence to console the bereaved family members, had imposed quarantine on himself at his residence in Gadwal town for the past few days.
On Tuesday, three reporters from Mahabubnagar district working for NTV, 10 TV and AP 24/7, along with two camera persons from Gadwal district working for the two prominent electronic media channels had gone to visit MLA Krishna Mohan Reddy to interview him at the latter’s residence.
As Gadwal town was declared a red-zone and MLA Krishna Mohan Reddy was himself in self-quarantine, medical and health officials have quarantined the scribes too.
The reporters from Mahabubnagar were sent to Mahabubnagar Medical College at Appannapally in Mahabubnagar town on quarantine and the two camera persons from Gadwal were sent on quarantine at Gadwal Area Hospital on Tuesday evening.
