Nalgonda: Additional Superintendent of Police T Padmanabha Reddy on Saturday said the Police Department was getting inspiration from the police personnel, who sacrificed their lives while discharging their duties, and working effectively in protection of law and order in society.
Several police officers and personnel donated blood at a blood donation camp, which was organised by the department at police parade ground on the occasion of Police Martyrs’ Commemoration Week.
Launching the blood donation camp, Padmanabha Reddy said that the police personnel work round-the-clock for protection of law and order as well as to ensure peaceful atmosphere in society.
He pointed that Police Commemoration Day was held on October 21 every year to remember the police personnel, who sacrificed their live for the protection of law and order.
Stating that donating blood is equal to saving a life, who were in emergency condition due to accidents and health problems, he exhorted the youth to donate blood once in every six months. He also underlined the need to educate the people on importance of donation of blood and remove the misconceptions prevailed in the people on blood donation.
Firstly, Deputy Superintendent of Police (Dy SP) of Nalgonda Ganga Ram donated blood at the camp that gave inspiration to other police officers in participating the blood donation camp.
Deputy Superintendent of Police (AR) Suresh Kumar, Special Branch Deputy SP Ramesh Kumar, Police Officers’ Association district president Ramachandar Goud, Nalgonda Town-I Circle Inspector Basha and Town-I Circle Inspector PND Prasad also participated in the blood donation camp.
