Doctor commits suicide in Nizamabad


Nizamabad: A post graduate medical student working as a senior resident at the Government General Hospital here committed suicide, reportedly due to depression. The deceased doctor, identified as Natha Madu, hailed from Giddaluru of Prakasham district in Andhra Pradesh.

He completed his MBBS degree at Osmania Medical College, Hyderabad and was pursuing MS-ENT at Gandhi Medical College. He was a senior resident doctor at the Nizamabad GGH Hospital since the last year and lived with his parents in an apartment complex in Subhashnagar area of the town.

On Saturday night, after his dinner, Madhu went into his bedroom and committed suicide by hanging, the police said. Nizamabad Three Town police have registered a case and sent the body for a postmortem.
